Sweet Chestnut and Clementine Pizza

While chestnuts aren’t a popular ingredient in the US, we’re pretty confident that this sweet chestnut and clementine pizza from French chef, Manon Santini (@manon_santini), will become a new dessert favorite. With their starchy, meaty interior, chestnuts create a lovely base for a thick, creamy custard, and for the pizza, it's spread over a light, crispy dough with a tasty almond praline.

Topped off with juicy, sweet clementines, plus more almonds for crunch and marron glacé (candied chestnut pieces), you’ll have an unforgettable holiday treat that will make your guests swoon.

Note

If making your own dough, be sure to set aside 4 to 5 hours before starting to cook. Check out our Classic Pizza Dough recipe for tips and technique. If you can’t find any marron glacé, or don’t have the budget, not to worry – your dessert will still taste divine.
