Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza

From our resident buffalo-enthusiast Josh Tahan (@truecraftbbq) comes this spicy, vegetarian twist on a classic. Using the Anova X Ooni recipe for flawless wings and homemade buffalo sauce, this pizza is paired with tangy blue cheese and fresh celery shavings. Meat-lovers and vegetarians alike can agree it’s worth the prep, for tender wings with a spicy crunch topped on a creamy cheese pizza.

Ingredients
Makes 1x 12” pizza
8.8oz (250g) classic pizza dough
5 Cauliflower Buffalo Wings, halved (see note below)
2tbsp blue cheese, crumbled
2tbsp buffalo sauce (see note below)
1 stalk celery, shaved

Method
Note – for this recipe, we’re using our pre-prepared, homemade wings and sauce from the incredible Ooni x Anova Buffalo Chicken Wings Duo recipe. You’ll need at least 1 day to prepare this, so plan ahead. You can always choose to use store-bought meat and sauce if you’re low on time!

Prepare your pizza dough ahead of time. To make a 12" pizza, we recommend preparing pizza dough balls that are 8.8oz (250g) each – our guide to making the perfect Classic Pizza Dough covers everything you need to know.

Fire up your Ooni pizza oven. Aim for 952˚F (500˚C) on the stone baking board inside. You can check the temperature inside your Ooni quickly and easily using the Ooni Infrared Thermometer.

Using a small amount of flour, dust your Ooni pizza peel. Stretch the pizza dough ball out and lay it out on your pizza peel. Spread an even layer of crumbled blue cheese across the base of your pizza, then add your halved buffalo cauliflower wings. Finish with a generous drizzle of your homemade buffalo sauce

Slide the pizza off the peel and into your Ooni pizza oven. Cook for 1-2 minutes, making sure to turn the pizza regularly for an even cook.

Once the pizza is cooked, remove from the oven and top with a handful of freshly shaved celery.  Season with a little pepper if you wish and serve right away!
