This Friday it’s ‘Stuffing Day’ – what will they think of next? But seriously, for all you American Uuni chefs out there – this is the perfect excuse to practice some homemade stuffing ready for Thanksgiving next week!
Homemade Stuffing Recipe
1 red onion, peeled and finely chopped
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp dried cranberries
1 tbsp fresh sage, finely chopped
80g fresh breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to season
1 egg, beaten
First, light up your Uuni.
Next, put your vegetable oil into a small tray and and put it inside the heating up Uuni.
Once the oil has heated up, remove the tray and add your finely chopped onion to the oil to sweat. You can switch between keeping the onion inside the Uuni, or placing it on top of it. It all depends on how fast the Uuni is heating up for you. Let the onion soften but don’t allow it to go brown.
Remove from the heat and stir in the sage, cranberries and breadcrumbs. Season generously with salt and pepper.
Next, slowly add as much of the beaten egg as you need to bind the mixture. Don’t worry if you don’t need it all.
Roll into balls and put into the hot Uuni for 2 minutes, or until they look lovely and brown – just like ours!
